The weather folks have been excited about "six weekends in a row of good weather" and this one was no exception. The warmest of the year so far (low 70s) and Miles and I spent the afternoon at Pt. Whitehorn, part of the Whatcom County Park System. Really lovely and relaxing. It's about a 3/4-mile hike from the trail head to the beach, and Miles loved running down the trail. At the beach, he built a stick castle, a rock castle, and then we just sat in the sun while chatting with friends who happened upon us. Bittersweet day for me, but Miles is doing well.
At his preschool, the students filled out a "questionnaire" about their moms:
What's your mom's favorite color? PURPLE (correct)
What does your mom do? PROTECT ME (awwww)
What's your mom's favorite food? I THINK SALAD (not exactly correct, but not incorrect either)
Where does your mom take you for fun? COSTCO (hm, I'd better expand his horizons)
Such a northwest kid!
