My first night (and weekend) away from Miles...

Hi Everyone,

I am leaving tomorrow for Portland, OR (for a work meeting), and Miles will be with my parents for the weekend. Miles will be totally fine; he may even be potty trained, using chopsticks, and speaking Mandarin when I pick him up! But seriously, he'll be fine. Me? I'll miss him so much, but I'm looking forward to a few days in one of my favorite cities with some good friends.

More walking...

On the eve of his 17-month birthday, Miles is now walking more than crawling. He's not too steady, and definitely wobbles quite a bit, but definitely a walker:

Walking...this time I mean it!

Just today, he seems to have turned the (proverbial) corner; the teachers at daycare said that he was walking all day. This video was taken when we got home, at the end of the day, when Miles was tired. But he's really and truly walking now!

Miles the climber...

I know he looks unsteady, but Miles climbs this chair and table at least 10 times a day! He's standing unsupported, and walking a bit more confidently every day.

Oh, he has three molars now!
